The versatile design of A.M.D. filtration devices allows them to be used for a wide variety of applications. Our monitors are manufactured in our facility located in Ontario Canada, which enables us to ensure quality control for every monitor that we make.
A specially designed feature present in our monitor is a dish base leg design. This specially designed feature allows for a gap between the dishes when stacked. This promotes free circulation of air around the entire monitor which allows for an even temperature distribution in all the stacked dishes during incubation. This design also prevents the monitor from sticking to your work surface.
The unit can be used for the general filtration or sterilization of fluids or as an analytical tool for the detection or monitoring of microbiological or particulate contamination. The unit consists of a lid, funnel and base with a membrane filter sealed in place. The funnel is removable allowing the unity to be converted into a petri dish or storage container. Luer fittings allow for standardization.

A.M.D. Manufacturing Inc. filter monitors are manufactured to meet or exceed the standards for equipment and materials listed by the United States Safe Drinking Water Act (Public Law 93-523) and as approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and referenced in “The Standard Methods for Water and Waste Water,” (Current Edition); APHA, WPCF. The resin used in the manufacture of the Petri dishes is biologically and chemically inert and complies with the specifications contained in the U.S.A Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1640 for polystyrene.
No mould release agents or growth-inhibiting additives that could directly or indirectly interfere with bacterial growth are used in the manufacture of this quality product.
